BORGHETTO

2 km from Trebisonda you can wander in this lovely cluster of old watermills, recently restored, the wheels of which are turned by the river Mincio, the single river to flow out of Lake Garda going to Mantova.

In antiquity Borghetto was site of an important toll being the first point of crossing over the river below Lake Garda. The castle and Visconti bridge overlook this rural gem

CASTELLARO LAGUSELLO - MONZAMBANO

10 km from Trebisonda visit this historic medieval hamlet situated around a small lake ion which the remains of piles from a prehistoric settlement have been discovered.

Continuing through neighbouring Monzambano you can visit several excellent winery, taste and buy wine and get a warm and friendly welcome.

LAGO DI GARDA E PARCO SIGURTA'

For a day out at Lake Garda we recommend the small Roman fortified harbours of Torri del Benaco, Bardolino, Lazise, Garda and most of all Punta S. Vigilio. All are on the Veronese shore of the lower part of the Lake.

MANTOVA

25 km from Trebisonda is one of Italy's richest art cities. Here the Gonzaga (powerful Dukes who ruled Mantova for centuries and great patrons of the Arts) welcomed an extraordinary number of artists and stylishly embellished their small city which is surrounded by three lakes.

Visit the Ducal Palace, where you can see the Camera degli Sposi by Mantegna, and the Palazzo Te with its unique Sala dei Giganti, and the Palazzo Arco with its period furnishings

VERONA

30km from Trebisonda is the magnificent and romantic city of Verona, where there are plenty of remains that bear witness to its Roman origins. Do not miss the Arena or a night at one of its opera performances www.arena.it

The city of Romeo and Juliet, and the beautiful Piazza Erbe is sure to leave a lasting impression upon you. Walk along Corso Portoni Borsari and you will reach the Castelvecchio and Ponte Pietra where you can enjoy the view of the sweet hills that cradle the city.

Trebisonda is an old cluster of stone farmhouses, the core of which dates to 1400 with original features such as the historic barrel vaults and the division of the upper floor into human habitations and the lower for the livestock.

Our cottages have been restored recently and respect the quality of the original materials, such as the old terracotta bricks and pleasing use of natural pine.

Every cottage is wholly independent and self reliant, located in a large garden on the edge of the countryside, immersed in the absolute silence.

We are in the Natural Park of the Mincio, among the green Garda Lake Morainic Hills a few kilometres from Verona, Mantova and Brescia.

It is easy to get here from the airports of Verona Villafranca, Verona Montichiari and Bergamo Orio al Serio.

We are just 8km from the PESCHIERA DEL GARDA exit on the A4 motorway between Milan and Venice. From here please go to VALEGGIO SUL MINCIO, you will find BORGHETTO where you will cross the antique Ponte Visconteo. Exactly 3 km. from the bridge (on the way to Solferino) you'll find TREBISONDA sign.
